IIT Ropar, NSDC, and Masai School Team Up for AI and Machine Learning Minor Program

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar, in partnership with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Masai School, has launched a minor program in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). This collaborative initiative, named AIForBharat, aims to enhance educational quality by combining the strengths of the three institutions.

IIT Ropar Director Rajeev Ahuja highlighted the program’s goal to merge academic rigor with practical application, preparing students to tackle technological challenges innovatively. Atul Kumar Tiwari from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship emphasized the importance of AI skills for modern economic demands, noting their transformative impact on industries and job creation.

Masai School CEO Prateek Shukla expressed excitement over this collaboration, viewing it as a step towards revolutionizing technical education by focusing on skill-based learning. The program features seven modules, covering topics from basic engineering to advanced neural

networks and natural language processing, culminating in a capstone project. This initiative aims to build a robust talent pool ready for global success.
