India Launches ‘Study in India’ Campaign to Attract Global Students

At the 20th Foreign Education Show in Sharjah, India formally announced its “Study in India” campaign, which aims to establish the nation as a top foreign student destination. Over 590 Indian universities and institutes are featured in the initiative, which is run by EdCIL, a Miniratna corporation under the Ministry of Education. These institutions provide a variety of courses along with alluring perks like scholarships and cost waivers.

The India Pavilion was inagurated by Ahmed Mohamed Obaid Al Naboodah of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industries in association with Shri Yatin Patil, Deputy Consul General of India in Dubai. This campaign puts a lot of emphasis on self-achievement, university education, affordability and high quality, factors that resonates well with students from the developing world.

Mr. M. S. Mann, MD, EdCIL covering the New Study in India, a one stop portal for the foreign Students for applications made easier. “This centralised approach facilitates student search for tertiary education programmes, application to various institutions, and administration of visas in one location,” he pointed out. It also focuses on cooperation with other academic educational centers and research around the world.

Indian higher education as the second largest in the world is gradually forging ahead with institutions like IISc Bangalore. The programme has also received more than 69,000 applications for the academic year 2024-25 and 4,000 more students have visited India.

The International Education Show with more than 100 universities of over 20 countries is one of the fastest-growing higher education exhibitions that continue promoting educational partnership and opportunities.
