Transforming Ideas and Brands into Authentic, Measurable Impact Through Marketing and Social Media!
Many of us have experienced the spark of an idea that feels bigger than ourselves. It begins as a small thought and, with guidance and focus, grows into something that touches people, inspires action, or changes the way they see the world. For Kati Noakes, this spark has always been at the heart of her work, whether she is working with high-profile celebrities or solopreneurs.
With over 25 years in marketing, PR, and communications, Kati has spent her career helping businesses, brands, and individuals find their authentic voice. Early years at agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi and the BBC taught her the delicate balance between creativity and strategy, and how powerful storytelling can transform a message into influence. She learned how the right story, told with clarity and purpose, can make people feel seen, understood, and inspired.
Innovative Campaigns That Drive Results
A defining moment in Kati’s career was helping a startup grow from a complete unknown to over 1 million views and 70,000 followers in under a month through an organic social strategy built on storytelling, not sales. By understanding emotional triggers, using smart video strategy, and building authentic engagement, she opened international markets and proved that strategy and authenticity always outperform gimmicks.
More recently, she worked with another client to create an entire brand ecosystem, from branding and website development to social media strategy, social ad campaigns, and an upcoming podcast launch. In just three months, the client’s content achieved over 1.4 million views, reinforcing what she has seen time and again: huge budgets do not determine impact; clarity, creativity, and consistency do.
The drive to see potential turn into growth and ideas become movements has guided every step of Kati’s journey. In 2018, she founded KN Comms with a clear mission: to empower founders, small and medium-sized businesses, and organisations to use digital strategy and social media not just for visibility, but for measurable impact. She believes that when people gain confidence in how they show up, they can connect with their audience in meaningful ways that leave a lasting impression.
Kati’s work goes beyond campaigns or metrics. It is about transformation, helping others realize their potential and find their voice. Through her guidance, stories gain authenticity, strategies gain focus, and ideas gain momentum. Her career shows a simple truth: the right story, told with care, can spark real change, inspire confidence, and leave a lasting mark on the world.
From Global Campaigns to Entrepreneurial Support
After years of leading major global campaigns, Kati realised that smaller businesses and founders rarely had access to the strategic insight and creative execution that large brands take for granted. She wanted to bridge that gap.
Founding KN Comms gave her the freedom to work directly with entrepreneurs, leaders, and brands, helping them unlock the same level of clarity and confidence she had seen at the top of the industry, but in a more human, relatable way. Her business is built on authenticity, creativity, and impact, helping clients grow in both results and confidence.
Shaping Social Media Marketing Through Storytelling
Working at Saatchi & Saatchi and the BBC taught Kati two invaluable lessons: emotion drives behaviour, storytelling drives connection, and execution matters as much as vision.
During her time at Saatchi & Saatchi, she led large-scale PR campaigns, from producing a two-hour BBC2 TV documentary and staging a celebrity launch at Cannes to hosting Sir Alan Sugar’s Apprentices. She also built strong relationships with journalists across national and industry media, relationships grounded in trust and relevance.
At the BBC, she led national communication campaigns during the Public Service Broadcasting Review and Digital Britain, including VIP events with Sir David Attenborough and Stephen Fry championing public broadcasting.
Those experiences shaped how she teaches today. Her workshops combine the art of storytelling with the science of strategy, giving businesses the tools to understand their audience, use algorithms and digital platforms intelligently, and create content that resonates. The tools may have evolved, but the art of connection remains timeless.
Balancing Creativity and Strategy
Kati says creativity without strategy is chaos, while strategy without creativity is invisible. She explains that every project starts with clarity, understanding who you are speaking to, what matters to them, and what outcome you want to achieve.
Once the strategy is clear, creativity becomes the delivery vehicle, whether it is an emotional video for a charity or thought-leadership storytelling for a corporation. She emphasizes that the key is aligning every idea with purpose and measurable impact.
Persistence in Action
Persistence has shaped every chapter of Kati’s career, guided by a simple philosophy: ask for what she wants, even if it seems impossible.
When she was at Saatchi & Saatchi, she had an idea to create a behind-the-scenes documentary about the agency, something that had never been done successfully before. She pitched it to a producer at the BBC, who loved it. When she brought it to the Saatchi CEO, the answer was a firm no. He warned that advertising agencies had only ever been portrayed negatively, and if this went wrong, it could damage the agency’s reputation.
Kati still believed in the concept. During a client meeting, with her CEO present but not exactly supportive, she mentioned the idea again. The client loved it. That moment turned everything around. The CEO reluctantly agreed, though he warned she would be fired if it all went wrong.
After six months of filming, Inside Saatchi & Saatchi aired on BBC2, a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of a global campaign for Sagatiba, a Brazilian cachaça spirit brand. The documentary was later featured as in-flight entertainment on British Airways, generating outstanding publicity. It proved that bold ideas and persistence, even in the face of resistance, can turn risk into reward.
Understanding the Target Audience
Kati believes understanding the target audience is absolutely critical. She observes that the biggest mistake businesses make is creating content for themselves rather than for the people they are trying to reach.
She explains that every campaign begins with in-depth audience profiling, examining not just demographics but also motivations, fears, and desires. Strategy alone does not suffice; an emotional connection must be built first. The opening hook has to resonate and make the audience feel seen.
According to her, when businesses speak to people’s hearts rather than sell to them, audiences stop scrolling. That is where real engagement begins.
Building Success Through Media Relationships
Kati’s PR roots are grounded in relationships. At the BBC, she learned that credibility and timing are everything. Journalists trust people who bring them stories with insight and substance; empty pitches hold no value.
That principle continues to drive her work. Whether securing national coverage, collaborating with influencers, or positioning clients as thought leaders, she focuses on trust, value, and authenticity. Influence built on integrity lasts.
Overcoming Digital Marketing Challenges for SMEs and Charities
For many SMEs and charities, digital marketing feels overwhelming. Constant algorithm changes, limited time, and pressure to “do it all” often lead to burnout and inconsistency.
One of the biggest misconceptions is that posting more means achieving more. In reality, algorithms reward relevance and engagement, not volume. Without purpose, even the busiest feeds fade into the noise.
KN Comms simplifies and humanizes digital strategy. Through tailored workshops and AI-powered systems, the company helps clients master visibility, storytelling, and confidence, creating measurable results without the chaos.
Keeping Workshops Relevant in a Changing Digital Landscape
KN Comms manages client campaigns globally, which gives her the ability to see algorithm and platform changes in real time, often before they make headlines. This insight keeps her content current and her teaching grounded in practical experience.
She stays relentlessly curious, investing in new tools, studying algorithm research, and testing emerging features daily. Her 6-Week Social Media Strategy Course and Reels Workshops now integrate AI tools and apps like Meta’s Edits, helping participants streamline video creation and achieve stronger results.
Attendees do not just learn what to post; they learn how to use technology to create content faster, smarter, and more authentically.
Lessons from Working with Icons
The biggest lesson Kati learned was that success comes from harnessing the passion and enthusiasm of a brand’s champions, because their voices carry further than one’s own.
During her time at the BBC, she helped organise VIP events featuring Sir David Attenborough and Stephen Fry, who spoke about the importance of public broadcasting. Their humility and conviction had a profound impact, proving that people trust people more than brands.
That philosophy shapes her work today. She helps clients build meaningful partnerships with influencers, ambassadors, and collaborators because authentic advocacy is the most powerful form of marketing.
Maintaining Enthusiasm in Complex Campaigns
Kati genuinely loves what she does because, for her, it is never just about marketing; it is about people. Helping others uncover their potential and step into visibility with confidence fuels her energy, even in the busiest seasons.
Managing complex, multi-platform campaigns requires focus and structure. She stays grounded by setting clear objectives, empowering teams, and keeping communication open. When everyone understands the bigger vision, creativity flows.
Giving back is central to her work. KN Comms reserves one place on every programme for a founder navigating hardship. Kati believes everyone deserves the chance to grow and realise their potential and have access to training programmes where they are supported and believed in. Kati works alongside several charities to share expertise, guidance, and practical resources as well.
The Future of Digital Marketing
Kati believes that the future belongs to authentic innovators who use technology intelligently while preserving the human touch. AI will continue to transform research, planning, and creative processes, yet emotional intelligence remains the greatest differentiator. The next chapter of marketing will be shaped by authenticity, AI, and agility, alongside the rise of micro-influencers, the trusted and relatable voices that influence opinions and purchasing decisions more effectively than traditional advertisements.
At KN Comms, Kati and her team are already helping businesses future-proof by blending AI with genuine storytelling and strategic influencer partnerships, scaling connections without sacrificing authenticity. For her, marketing focuses on impact, influence, and inspiring action rather than simply on metrics. Because when brands communicate with clarity and purpose, they don’t just reach their audience, they move them.
They build trust. They create momentum. They turn visibility into opportunity.
And in a world changing faster than ever, KN Comms stands for one simple belief:
When you elevate your voice, you elevate your business—and your impact on the world.
