Mercedes-Benz India has also expanded its AMG lineup with the introduction of the AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupé priced at ₹1.35 crore (ex-showroom). It is positioned above the CLE 300 Cabriolet and provides us with a combination of sports-car pace and grand-tourer luxury in our country.

The vehicle features a 3.0-litre, twin-turbo inline-six petrol engine which has been fettled by AMG and supported by a 48-volt mild-hybrid unit. The engine produces some 449 bhp and 560 Nm of torque, with an overboost function routing torque to almost 600 Nm for short periods. A further 23 bhp and 205 Nm are delivered by the integrated starter-generator for improved acceleration and fuel efficiency. This configuration allows for the CLE 53 to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, with a top speed electronically governed at 250 km/h and 270 km/h with the optional AMG Driver’s Package.

Exterior styling is accompanied by the unmistakable AMG signature of a Panamericana grille, razor-sharp bumper design, flared wheel arches, and quad exhaust tips. Aerodynamic elements such as bonnet vents, air intakes, and an integrated boot-lip spoiler are complemented atop heightened road presence. The coupé features 19-inch alloy wheels as standard, with 20-inch available as an option for an even more sporting stance.

Inside, the cabin integrates luxury handcraft with performance-oriented design elements. AMG performance seats with Artico leather- and microfibre-trimmed, red contrast stitching create a sporty yet safe area. A 12.3-inch all-digital instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch portrait-oriented MBUX infotainment screen on the dashboard both display AMG-specific graphics.
